Sarah has been blessed with tons and tons of hand-me-down clothes. She has more clothes than we do! We're trying to have her wear them all before she grows out of them!
Sarah is a huge Nebraska Cornhusker fan and loves to watch football with her daddy. She was very upset after their poor performance and loss to Texas Tech. Better days are certainly in store for the team and their # 1 fan.
We went to Aamodts Apple Orchard to enjoy the Fall foliage and likely the last nice sunny day of autumn in Minnesota. Highlights for Sarah were a new sweater and milk in a bottle. The sweater was a gift from her Grandma Armstrong. It was purchased before she was even conceived and given to us last Christmas when we shared the joyous news that we were pregnant.
Sarah and her cousin Adam make a lot of funny faces, but they have one in common. It is guarenteed to be followed by an explosive mess in the diaper followed by an unmistakable aroma!
Her daddy, a budding gastroenterologist, is so proud of her colon!
Two weeks old and Sarah makes her first trip up North. She showcased her angling skills on the way up, catching a large bass in Lake Mille Lacs. We brought it to the taxidermist and had it mounted.
Sarah got her feet wet, soaked up some rays at the beach and spent time on Grandpa's boat. She passed on waterskiing this outing but expectations are high for next summer.
We moved into our first house on August 1st! Just in time for Sarah's arrival...we set up her room first. We love being in a place of our own...just a mile away from cousin Adam, Auntie Anne, and Uncle Tom!
Sarah Katharine Pico was born on August 21, 2009 at 4:57pm. She was 7 lbs and 10 oz and measured 20 inches long. Delivery went smoothly, but after delivery I had to be taken to the operating room to get the remaining placenta out. I lost 1.5 L of blood, but recovered just fine. We are so thankful to have Sarah in our family. She gets cuter each day.
